The harsh, rocky shores of Michipicoten Island conceal a land particularly rich in wild berries and game, volcanic fissures and bubbling hot springs, dramatic cliffs and secrets. For hundreds of years, the island was the home to the Eagle Clan, a now-vanished group of Ojibwe who many believe made a conscious choice to leave the Prime Material Plane and pass into the underworld. The island is rumored to contain a host of birchbark scrolls - everyrthing ranging from history to magical spells. It has a reputation for being dangerous, and is given a wide birth - at least a mile - by all experienced lake mariners.
